Celebrities on Drugs

By pinoykritik

Despite tough legal penalties for drug and alcohol abuse, the drug continues to be associated with celebrity glamour ….

People say the problem is exacerbated when the celebrities are seen to get off without penalty or are less harshly treated than other ordinary drug users

There are cases comparing the treatment of the authorities to a so called drug user celebrities to an ordinary drug user, it comes out that a celebrity, treated more nicely and as if they didn’t commit any crime while an ordinary user they were treated harshly and sometimes they were brutally punished.

The media reports, it reflect or generate perceptions that celebrity has to be treated more leniently than others. Hope that media, specially those celebrities oriented talkshow or programs should not cover the truth behind the stars influenced by drugs, specially those celebrities that are already on their top of their career.

The authorities should ensure that the public celebrities who are caught under the influence will be subject to sanctions under the Philippine law and no special treatment should be done.

    no special treatment, i agree.

but i think it’s not fair to judge a celebrity, or anybody who does drugs.

“but i think it’s not fair to judge a celebrity, or anybody who does drugs.”

why is it not fair?! why?

there’s no acceptable reason to do illegal drugs. none at all! peer pressure, stress, and all those pathetic excuses are unacceptable. anyone who knowingly and willingly does something illegal deserves to be judged harshly. the same way you’re judging my comment right now.
